Jump Start 2016: Agrifood Focus

The initial Jump Start prototype programme was run as a collaboration between the Palmerston North City Council, Massey University, Microsoft and The Future Cities Institute in 2016, which led to the establishment of an innovation pop-up hub in the heart of Palmerston North City

2014: INNOVATION CENTER BEST PRACTICES AND ECONOMIC VALUE ADD, ASIA PACIFIC, MIDDLE EAST AND EUROPE.

Malcolm Fraser from The Future Cities Institute was the Lead Researcher and Implementation Consultant responsible for creating a Local Software Economy Sustainability Framework to establish, manage and monitor innovation centers and incubators. The Project included the global network of Microsoft Innovation Centers (MICs) and supported the development of start-ups, digitally enabled businesses and entrepreneurs across Europe and Asia Pacific.

NZ Cities Summit 2012

This week  Malcolm Fraser, CEO of the Future Cities Institute will be chairing the NZ Cities Summit 2012 being held in Auckland, New Zealand. Looks like it’s going to be a great event, with a top line-up of speakers and discussion panels, including; Hamilton Mayor – Julie Hardaker, Tauranga Mayor – Stuart Crosby, Auckland Deputy Mayor – Penny Hulse, Ludo Campbell-Reid – Auckland Council, Rohan MacMahon – Crown Fibre Holdings, Louise Marra – Ministry of Economic Development and Brett O’Riley – ATEED…to name just a few.
